Vodacom Fiber: The Future is Exciting, Really?

We recently decided to upgrade our internet service to fiber. Being a long standing Vodacom Mobile customer I decided that going with one service provider was a good idea. I app**** for the service on 25 November 2019 (Vodacom Sales Order SO***) and in a massive flurry of emails and deliveries I had the router and phone within a few days. By 06 December 2019 Link Africa had completed the the fiber installation and I was informed that within 24 - 48hrs the service would be activated, so far so good I thought. It is now 03 February 2020 and the service is still not active, MANY MANY calls to the call center (SR***), very polite people with lots of tutting and shock, have so far yielded zero result. Despite repeated requests nobody is able to give any kind of feedback other than its been escalated. Apparently someone named Tanya is dealing with it, Perhaps she is on leave and they weren't told. If this how they handle applications I shudder to think what happens when they have your money

Your records are correct, the query has been resolved due to the efforts of a call centre consultant who finally paid attention and managed to get a technician sent out who identified the problem, which for info was not with Vodacom but with the fibre installer. However it it still took 2 months before someone reacted which as a service provider is really not cool
