Vodacom fiber relocation department are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very BAD.

I've never experienced worse customer service than from Vodacom's fiber relocation department. My personal experience of the people I've dealt with so far are that they are either grossly *********** or maliciously unhelpful - I can't decide which. Either way, it's unacceptable for a company of Vodacom's size. Since Janauary we've been trying to relocate our fiber from our old flat to our new flat. The problem started when Vodacom incorrectly input our address details. Fair enough, mistakes happen, so we submitted a change of address form as requested. This was in early February and the address still hasn't been updated. And because Octotel won't come and install the fiber until they get the order from Vodacom with the new address, we're constantly in touch with customer services to try and speed the process up. Trouble is we get the same response each time - a disingenuous apology, faux concern at our situation, a shifting of blame to another department, and a guarantee of a call/email back and escalation to a senior manager (I'll let the reader decide whether or not any of that ever happens). There's no accountability. Things go into a void where staff are either incapable or unwilling to deal with it. And the best thing about all this is that we're paying R900 per month for the privilege.

In summary, Vodacom appears to not care about their customers as long as they have you signed up and paying for services rendered or otherwise. So if someone doesn't contact me by the end of the week to resolve the issue then I'm cancelling the contract and changing provider and I'll be urging anyone thinking of going with Vodacom to do the same.

Reviewer Update
Update - I received a call from Vodacom's dedicated hellopeter complaints desk apologising and promising that the relevant department has been asked to resolve my problem and will be in touch by the end of the day. Guess what? No one has contacted me. It's official - Vodacom are trolling me and I keep falling for it every time.
