#Vodacom #fiber provided by #***** #Vumatel
I have been waiting for my vodacom Fiber installation (through Vumatel) for almost a year even though my area is live months ago (ordered 4 May 2020, I was informed my area was live about 1 month later). On top of that Im an essential worker (lawyer at a bank), working from home. While waiting I've been forced to use vodacoms weak LTE router (which was misleadingly advertised at the time of purchase as a 'short term' interim measure) which I have to supplement with my mtn phone data. I've call vodacom many (between 2-5) times, patiently, monthly if not every second month since my purchase and i have being **** to and pushed around by their consultants. My second last call had the following reference number SR*** where again promises and excuses were made. During my last called on the 25th of March 2021, I spoke to a Clint Hendricks in vodacoms Cape Town office who was seemingly the most promising, who even offered his email address so that I can follow up with him I'm directly... but again I've been disappointed (Service request SR***). Unless my expectation are unreasonable please advise if waiting a year for fibre is reasonable? And is hoarding (manipulation/misrepresention to stall) customers legal? Vodacom needs to get there act together from personnel to process on their fibre or perhaps I was the stupid customer thinking they gave a damn! Until I recieve a written apology whether my matter is resolved or I try another provider I will be going on all available social media's and sharing my story of Vodacom and Vumatel's pathetic service, weekly!
