Vodacom Fiber & Openserve: A Black Hole of Accountability and Ghosting
If you value your sanity and need a functional internet connection, stay away from Vodacom Fiber. Since moving from a local provider to the Vodacom/Openserve ecosystem, the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
We have paid a full monthly bill for a service that has functioned for one single week out of the last month.
The Timeline of Neglect:
April 13 (SR**********68): Reported a "flapping" line and severe intermittent performance.
April 22: Vodacom unilaterally closed the ticket via an automated email. No resolution, no phone call, and no improvement. Their logic? It was "Escalated to FTTX Support." In Vodacom’s world, escalation apparently means "ignore and delete."
April 23: I followed up to protest the closure of an unresolved ticket. I was met with total silence.
April 27: Sent a formal escalation to management reporting 4-minute latency and total freezes. I specifically demanded a senior technician's intervention.
May 12 (Today): It has been over two weeks since that "management escalation." I have received zero feedback, zero acknowledgement, and zero service.
The Reality:
My fiber line is currently a decorative wall fixture. I am getting better speeds on 2G than this supposed high-speed connection. While I have been issued yet another ticket number, history suggests Vodacom will simply wait a few days and close it again without ever speaking to me.
The Bottom Line:
Vodacom is world-class at billing but *********** at delivery. Their "Customer Care" is non-existent, and their technical support is a loop of automated indifference.

The Fiber Department called us on Tuesday promising that someone would come out yesterday, we are still waiting.
Unfortunately I will have to continue complaining till someone takes us seriously.

Antonio
