Vodacom fiber horrible and deceptive service

So I decided to cancel my Vodacom fiber contract and move to a different ISP, little did I know how *********** and pathetic the service could be.

I had intentionally cancelled at the beginning of the month so there would be no issue with the transfer of the line to the new ISP. Recieved a confirmation email on 14 July, stating all services will be cancelled by 31 July. Come 31 July I had no internet services as said, however, the new ISP could not get the line transferred. I then decided to contact the infrastructure owner (TT connect) who tell me that they have not recieved a cancelation request from vodacom and will not cancel until they do. I then called Vodacom who found the consultant who had "cancelled" the service, who was adamant that it was sent through and that he would send it through again. I then called TT connect to find out if it was cancelled only to be told that the line will only be cancelled 04 September because they have a 30 day cancelation policy and only recieved the order on 04 August (the day I called vodacom).

I called Vodacom yet again to complain and get this sorted out only to get apologies and be told there is nothing that they can do.

They didn't offer any alternative. I had asked to be reconnected for the interim to be told that the order is closed.

So now I sit without internet for 1 month, whilst my partner and I both work from home and are likely to rack up data costs into thousands of Rands.

Absolutely horrible service from an awful provider. This is a strong recomendation to never use Vodacom fiber even as a last resort.

Yes I was contacted on that date, to be advised that the cancellation was sent on 04 August and not 14 July as I was initially told. Now I am to wait 30 days for the cancellation by TT Connect where the line will only be released on 04 September.

Both my partner and I are working from home and have to now purchase mobile data because we will now be without internet for 30 days thanks to blatant, persistent lies by your cancellation department who had said, cancellation will be effective 31 July.

No attempt to correct the issue or to offer a service for the interim was made. Just the simple response "sorry I cannot do anything about it, you must wait 30 days".

Is this the benchmark of your customer service? The client suffers because of incompetence of your staff.
