Vodacom Fiber - Forced to pay for NO Connection.

Line has been down for two weeks. I phone almost everyday to get a progress report but keep getting told that the Field Engineer has not provided feedback. So my mobile data charges have been skyrocketing. I cancelled my contract but I guess I will have to pay for this month even though I will probably have no service at all. I really don't like paying for something I don't have or cant use. Unfortunately they have this clause in the contract that you sign in the beginning so they cover themselves for such occasions. They will gladly have their customers pay R800 -R1000 a month FOR NOTHING. Why must we carry the cost when your network is down?
