Vodacom Fiber demands double payment for a router and then refuse to answer any queries

I sent a cancellation instruction for my fiber service due to Vodacom's inability to get the system up and running within approximately 4 days, on 2 february 2019 the reference is SR190 ********** 47. After many calls to track the progress I finally received an Email reply on 14 February 2019 (two weeks delay to answer a Service Request). Included with the Email was an account for the remainder of the router cost s measured against the term of the contract. This is were the problem lays as I have (or had) a month to month contract with Vodacom Fiber and as such had to pay the full cost of the router upfront (for which I have proof) before installation of the system. Now I get an email saying early cancelation of 24 and 12 month fiber contract will require the pro rata payment for the router as the router was given "free" or at a discounted price. Surely this does not apply to me as I had a month to month contract for which I had to pay upfront for the router or does Vodacom Fiber expect me to pay twice for the same thing. All efforts to contact Sophia who was seemingly handling the case have failed. No amount of emails for her attention or telephone calls to the Call Centre have produced any response other that "I will send an Email to the back office"

Seeing that Vodacom Fiber, and more specific Sophia, does not want to contact me despite all my efforts to make contact via telephone and Email, I am once again turning to Hellopeter to publicly show how poor Vodacom FIber service is.

This also serves as an indication that I refuse to pay twice for router due to Vodacoms faiure to realise that I had a month to month contract
