Vodacom fiber contract

I have been using Vodacom as my fiber service provider on a Metro fiber in Aston Bay for more than 2years. My problem started on 23 Feb 2025 Sunday evening. I was unable to pickup my WIFI signal on my pc and my cellphone, but could see al my neighbours around me. I have since spend hours on the phone with customer service agents as well as technical staff to try and restore my internet service. We have come to the conclusion that my router is faulty because the Vodacom staff can see and interrogate my router, but I cannot pickup my own WIFI signal. On Thursday (6 March 2025) 11days without service I threatened to cancel the service if it was not restored by Monday the 10 March 2025. Tuesday 11 March 2025 I decided to cancel the service and look for another service provider, just to find out that Denise has already terminated my service on the 6 March 2025. The cancellation has to be a calendar month, in other words I can only receive a letter of cancellation at the end of April 2025, in the meantime I am now without service for 19days and cannot approach another service provider without the cancellation letter. In other words I have 2weeks of March remaining plus the whole of April before I can receive a letter of cancellation, so how is that for service. Just because Vodacom that cannot fix my internet line, I will be without internet for 2months before I can apply for a line at another service provider. Besides all the hours spent on my phone, buying expensive data for my cellphone to use as an internet hotspot, I have made no progress in getting Vodacom to replace my faulty router and restore my service, now off for 19days. Their pricing structure always looks the cheapest compared to other service providers, but read the fine print, in the first year they jackup your monthly fee at will, untill they surpass the other providers cost that stays the same. So be very care full to fall into this deadly contract from which you cannot escape, because of somebodies rules and regulations that are cast in stone.
