Vodacom fiber and their useless consultant didn't cancel the service

I called in to tell them that once my R249 of 12 month is finished I will not be entering into another 12 months contract due to the R549 and the colored guy said ill call you back let me see what I can do . Then he never called back now 3 months later im getting emails saying that I owe Vodacom how we I called in to cancel and their consultant didn't cancel the service. They messed up my credit score after been clean for 6 years. I hate Vodacom I should have never used their fiber service
