Vodacom: Fast to bar you from upgrading!!!

So, after being a loyal Vodacom customer since 1999, I have upgraded my accounts every 24 months without any hassle. I still have the same number, have moved from pay-as-you-go a full-blown top-up contract that's earning Vodacom more financial benefits. My contract comes to an end in the next few months. So, this guy from Vodacom gave me a call two weeks ago, telling me that my device is paid off and my monthly charge will be far less than what I have paid for previously. He also requested whether I have cell phone insurance. I told him that I do not have any on my cell phone. He then, unknowingly to me, activated cell phone insurance without asking me if I would like to receive it. Furthermore, I asked him if it will be possible for me to upgrade my account. He said that I will be able to upgrade. The next day I received an SMS stating that cell phone insurance is added to my contract. I immediately contacted Vodacom to cancel the insurance. Last week, I decided to look into the upgrade options available on the Vodacom website. Needless to say, when I provided my cell phone number to verify that I am indeed able to upgrade the contract, it stated that the contract will only be upgradable in November 2020. Again, I phoned Vodacom, telling them that I didn't upgrade my contract, nor did I state I do not want to upgrade this year. I clearly stated in all correspondence I want to upgrade my account. After a while, I was told that the problem was fixed and that I will be able to upgrade my contract. Allowing a few days, I waited until today just to find that I still will not be able to upgrade. I phoned Vodacom again, stating the whole story and the reply was that I will have to wait until 1 March before the upgrade "cancellation" could be effective and allow me to upgrade. This is not my fault, yet I am getting barred from upgrading. Now, Vodacom, should I cancel my account or can I expect some service?
