Vodacom Fair USage Policy Sucks

Hi

A fair usage policy is used to ensure people do not abuse the internet provided. Like for example using bittorent, downloading ******* content, etc.

With the lockdown period we have gone over fair usage policy amount. All data used has been on work related items and some normal recreational things like Netflix, etc. Now i'm throtlled to a much slower speed

Now two adults have to work from home which includes video calls. Even teaching as my wife is a teacher.

I do not feel that Vodacom is coming to the party with lockdown and helping people. I'm a long time customer

However vodacom is not willing to wave this after calling the call center. They have indicated they use evotel and they are not assisting. I really do not care who they use, they never gave me options. I bought with Vodacom and that is it. Agreements they have with other providers is their problem.

From what I understand that some of their providers have doubled the fair usage policy. Which means some customers they helping while others not. This does not sound fair at all.

But anyway, beware using vodacom. Rather find out wo they will use in your area and go direct or get facts upfront on all caps. Including fair usage

Their service also sucks, took them over two weeks to resolve my previous problem where I had no internet for 2 weeks with me constantly calling them 2-3 days a week.

Then like four weeks later some calls me about my previous hello peter post. How useless is that and ridiculous response time from vodacom.
