Vodacom Failure to RICA Phone

My mother bought a cell phone at the Valley Centre in Jan Smuts Avenue on Saturday. Amanda assisted us. She took a copy of my mother's ID and got my mother to sign forms. She said she would RICA the phone later that afternoon as Vodacom's system was offline. It is now Monday and the phoned has not been RICAed. My mother tried repeatedly to phone the shop but she says they kept cutting her off. She them phoned Vodacom customer care and was told that she needs to go into a Vodacom shop to RICA the phone and to provide a copy of her ID. All of that was done on Saturday! My mother has mobility issues and needs me to get around. I am at work. That call centre agent needs to find another job. When will the phone be RICAed?

When is "in due course". It is two hours later now. Does Vodacom have so many unhappy customers that it cannot keep up with complaints? Vodacom was supposed to perform a service on Saturday. It is now Monday afternoon. Where is the sense of urgency?
