Vodacom fails to close ********** accounts

I have truly exhausted all avenues in trying to close an account that was **********ly opened under my name. The said account has been investigated after all required documentation was submitted, its flagged as ********** but still remains open. Debit orders are still going off and I was informed that more things were even ordered subsequent to my reporting the ********** activity. Customer care reverts me to speak to someone in branch, in branch reverts me back to customer service. The ***** division reverts me to forensics to which there is no response. An email query was sent to a Mr Lawrence Sithi on the 1st of December within ***** division requesting closure of the account. There has been no response. As this ***** prevails it is at a cost to Vodacom, and to my personal credit profile. I appeal to the CEO of Vodacom Mr Shameel Joosub to take this matter seriously, and find out why it is not being closed, and who is responsible for this. The impression I get is that it is largely an internal **** and there is ***** being committed by people working within Vodacom itself. I also want to know how an account can be opened telephonically, goods delivered with no verification. Debi check mandates are non -existent. I do not own a Vodacom account and It is completely unacceptable that there is no recourse in such an event. I was told that in order to close the account I would have to pay R7000 penalty and there would be no way to investigate further. Its very disappointing. I am in the process of seeking legal assistance and will be taking this further. Please can this matter be resolved.
