Vodacom fails once again
I upgraded my phone 3 weeks ago, only to find it's faulty. I sent it back and been approved to have it credited and issue a new device. The device is with vodacom and needs to move from one branch to another to get this done. I've been approved to have the credit, but due to their own internal ineffectiveness I can't get a new phone. I'm traveling tonight and will be without a phone I paid and planned for. Horrible experience

29 Jun 2025, 00:09I called ***. The consultant I spoke to on Friday 19 June confirmed the phone will be credited once it reaches JHB. As a matter of Vodacom internal procedure on a recorded call - the phone will be credited and a new one provided. 5 days later the phone is still in Canal walk. Instead of moving it to JHB as per your own internal requirements you've stalled it in canal walk for this time.
My frustration is:
Even though your repair Centre confirmed a new phone will be issued, your internal process is slow, even though I've explained that I require the phone for business use rather urgently and requested so.

03 Jul 2025, 19:25Hi.
Thanks for this well written utterly unhelpful reply.
Had I known what the resolution was, I wouldn't be asking.
