Vodacom fails on customer service in all aspects
We reported 4 months ago that my mom passed away. She was a vodacom client for many years and we asked for the contract to end for the number to be kept, on prepaid as my father has a serious heart condition and his guesthouse also works from this cellphone number. In spite of giving notice, paying for the notice month and doing what is humanly possible Vodacom again suspended the account after it had to be taken of contract and we paid for the notice period. It shows what needs to be done on the system and they acknowledged and confirmed that it would be done, but now, 3 months later it still has not been done, my father(82) account suspended and number cancelled. We phoned Vodacom from the Vodacom shop in Shelley Beach and spoke to their legal department. They again want to start the whole process over again, wants us to pay for the contract. I agreed and said okay how much must we pay and for what must we pay as you have the instructions of what must be done on your system. The person in the legal department could not give me an answer. She does not know how much we must pay, she does not know what we must pay for, but she insists that we make a payment and send emails again to the legal department of Vodacom.......remember the instructions and all documents, like the death certificate and everything is already in their possession.......Can it be this difficult to perform a fairly easy instruction?I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager who can assist, and was told it will be a 24 hour turnaround time. I insisted that I ill be phoned today. I was given the assurance that I will be phoned within the next hour. It is now past 3 hours and no phone call from anybody at Vodacom. The telephone nr. im question here is ***.
