Vodacom Fails again with their Poor Customer Service

My line was suspended in October 2017 and I agreed to pay a monthly instalment of R1600-00.

During this period my line was transferred to a prepaid line and my cell phone had been ******, so I lost my sim card and could not port the same number. The arrears payment was settled in June of this year. My line was re-activated without my knowledge, which I realised when I received my statement on the 10 July. See attached statements for May and June.

I called in on the 10th to your call centre, to query the reactivation and allocations, which I did not receive notification off. No feed back was provided to me, despite several calls during this period, until today when I called in and was told the case had been closed.

I also contacted your cancellations department to find out whether I can cancel the contract and was told that this is only done during certain periods of the month. i.e from the 4th to the 20th.

This delay and no feedback as well as incorrect logging of the call has now, meant that I have lost 2 months worth of allocations and 2 months worth of savings that I could have made if I cancelled early, had I known that this account had been reactivated.

It is ridiculous that simple queries cannot be resolved timeously and efficiently by the customercare agents. Every call made, is about half an hour of time wasted, as each time the situation has to be re-explained.
