Vodacom Fails Again

I recently app**** online for a port to top up contract with Vodacom, in the application process the question was raised specifically that if I wanted a new number or a port, to which I indicated I needed a port. Phone arrives and low and behold I get a new number. I contact the costumer contact centre after 19:00, because it seems that is the only time you can get through, and I am told there that I was supposed to port to Vodacom first and then had to do the contract application. Also when I received a call from the call centre to confirm the agreement, the contract amount stated to me was also not correct as to the one that I app**** for online, and I had to highlight this to the consultant, we will have to wait and see if the right amount will be deducted from my account at the end of the month. I have to take out insurance for my phone within 30 days after purchase but if I do not have the correct cell number and Sim number the insurance according to the website would not be valid. It seems as though there is no consistency between the call centres and the website, and one would expect from such a large company to be up to standard with paperless processes. Should have known if they cannot get the contract amount right on the online application then I guess one cannot expect for the something as complicated as a port to be done correctly.

To date 30.12.2019 no consultant has made contact as yet? And soon my required prerequisite period for insurance will lapse, thus I will not be able to insure my phone!! Significantly irritated and frustrated.
