Vodacom Failing Loyal Business Clients – Red VIP Diamond Theft Cover Denied!

We are absolutely outraged at the service we have received from Vodacom regarding our Red VIP Diamond Tier contract, which clearly includes theft cover automatically.

Our business has been a loyal Vodacom customer for over 20 years, with 13 contracts totaling R43,000 per month, yet now we are being denied the theft cover that is rightfully ours.

The Issue One of our business phone numbers, 0########3, was upgraded at the end of November 2024 to an iPhone 16 Pro Max. This phone was ****** in January 2025, and now Vodacom is claiming that it wasn’t insured because it was not "selected" during the upgrade.

However, Vodacom’s own website states:

“The insurance policy is automatically activated as soon as the mobile deal is active. No action is required from customers.”

Evidence from Vodacom’s Own Website 📌 Vodacom Business Red VIP Theft Cover Policy - https://www.vodacombusiness.co.za/business/shopping/deals/red-rewards-info?utm_source=chatgpt.com 📌 Vodacom Red VIP T&Cs - https://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/shopping/plans/red-vip?utm_source=chatgpt.com 📌 Vodacom Theft Insurance Cover Details - https://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/vodacom-theft-insurance-cover?utm_source=chatgpt.com

This clearly shows that theft cover should be included automatically for my package, yet we are being told otherwise.

Our Concerns – Are Dealers Removing Benefits for Higher Commissions? We strongly believe that the dealer handling our upgrade deliberately did not select the theft cover because they make more commission when these benefits are left off.

We have never opted out of insurance before—why would we now? The onus should NOT be on the consumer but on Vodacom and their representatives to ensure their dealers act in our best interest, not for higher commission payouts.

As a business, we use a Vodacom representative to manage our contracts and upgrades—we do not individually select options, meaning this was the responsibility of Vodacom and their dealer.

Final Warning to Vodacom If this is not resolved and we do not receive a new iPhone 16 Pro Max replacement, we will take immediate action:

🚨 The Managing Executive (myself) and the CEO will move ALL 13 contracts away from Vodacom. 🚨 We will take our R43,000 per month in business to another provider.

Vodacom, you have a long-standing client’s business at risk due to ********* dealer behavior. Fix this immediately, or we will ensure our business and anyone else we influence moves to a competitor.

Waiting for an urgent resolution.

🚨 URGENT FOLLOW-UP – STILL NO RESPONSE FROM VODACOM 🚨
Since my complaint, and I still have NOT received a call or any real assistance.

Vodacom, this is absolutely unacceptable for a business customer of over 20 years, paying R43,000 per month for 13 contracts.

I demand immediate action!

🔴 I am on the RED VIP DIAMOND TIER – Theft cover is included automatically, and your own website confirms this.
🔴 My phone was ****** in January, and I should have already received my replacement weeks ago.
🔴 We have clear evidence that Vodacom states no action is required to activate theft cover—so why am I being given the runaround?

At this stage, I am starting to believe Vodacom is deliberately stalling instead of resolving this clear-cut case. If this is not resolved immediately, we will be forced to escalate this matter legally and through every public channel possible.

🚨 This is Vodacom’s LAST CHANCE to respond before we take the following steps:
✅ Escalate this complaint to Vodacom’s executive team and Ombudsman
✅ Move our entire R43,000/month business to another provider
✅ Expose Vodacom’s failure to honor Red VIP benefits across all platforms

I expect a senior consultant to contact me TODAY—not in "due course," not "soon," but IMMEDIATELY.
Vodacom, this is your final opportunity to make this right before you lose a long-standing and high-value customer.
