Vodacom Fail to cancel expired contract
Can I please be assisted URGENTLY. On the 7 January at about 14:30 I called Vodacom on *** I was answered by a lady by the name of Irene i mentioned to her that I would like to cancel my Vodacom data contract as it expired on the 5th December 2020, She then put me through to the cancellations department and a lady by the name of Nadine assisted me assured me that the contract will be cancelled effective end of January.
I am now surprised that the contract is not cancelled and I was allocated data again for the month of February.
Please can this contract be cancelled with immediate effect???
Nadine was I do not even know if this is a valid ref number from Nadine for my cancellation but the number given was 1-348.
I AM STILL WAITING TO BE CALLED!!!
To make this query more interesting I CALLED Vodacom yesterday and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Librino, he promised me he will investigate this further and call me with an update.
He did exactly as he promised called be back mentioned he listened to my call made to Nadine on the 7th January 2020 confirming my contract be cancelled by the end of January 2020.
He went further apologizing about what happened between myself and Nadine he says he is going to process an immediate cancellation and has requested a credit for the month of Feb 2021 and it will reflect within 14 business days on my statement. Librino went further to mention that I can continue to leave the sim card out and by the end of the day it will be on pre-paid. He also provided me with a ref. number.
To my surprise I checked the sim this morning and the contract is still active and not cancelled.
I then called Vodacom cancellations AGAIN this morning and spoke to a lady by the name of Zama she checked on the system and said she does not know what Librino advised as the cancellation was not done IMMEDIATELY on his side he sent it to the cancellations department ONLY.
Zama then escalated this for me to the cancellations department and assured me I will hear from Vodacom within 3 days and if I done I must call them then.
CAN SOMEONE FROM VODACOM PLEASE CALL ME AND ASSIST ME AS URGENTLY AS POSSIBLE AS I NEED THIS CONTRACT CANCELLED BY THIS WEEK!!!!

I had to call your cancellations department AGAIN this morning and I spoke to Kingsley who had been very helpful and assured me that the contract was cancelled ONLY this morning and assisted with the necessary credit too.
What I would like to know and then I would be happy with he way this was handled is to let me know why Librino deliberately misinformed me when I called on Monday that he had processed an immediate cancellation and the line would be deactivated at the end of the day???
It took me another 2 calls after speaking to Librino to have this contract cancelled and a credit requested.
I need an update as to why me as a Vodacom customer for over 20 years was misinformed by Librino.
Feel free to contact me for the number Librino called me on to do your necessary internal investigations.
I would like you to extract that call recording that Librino made to me and provide me with an update.
