Vodacom! Extremely POOR service delivery

In the second week of June, I found a special on a contract for the Sony Xperia z5 compact online on the Vodacom site for R395, valid till 4 July. Trying not to waste time, I went to the parow centre Vodacom branch to enquire about the contract. Firstly I was met by an extremely rude shop assistant who first told me the special didn't exist before he proceeded to look online and find the deal. He then informed me about the required documentation. Which I gathered and brought in later that day. I then dealt with another shop assistant named Jodi, she was much friendlier and once entering all my details, informed me that I qualified for the contract. However, I have an existing contract under my father's name. Jodi then advised me to have the contract transfered over to my name and then simply upgrade the contract. All necessary documentation was completed and submitted and I was told this would take about 3 days to complete the transfer and 4-5 working days to receive my phone. 3 days later, I returned to the store to check on the progress. I was informed that the transfer wouldn't be completed in store due to the system my current contract is on and that it would first have to be changed over to the old system to do the transfer. I was given a time frame of 48 hours for this task to be completed, which was now being handled by someone outside the branch. I returned two days later only to be told that there has been another extension due to some other complication and it would now take another 36 hours. I also questioned if my phone had arrive yet as the waiting period of 4-5 days has passed, of which I was told no, there has been no delivery as yet. So I returned after the 2 days, only to be told once again that my case has yet again been passed over to someone named Lorraine. Lorraine could not be contacted by anybody from the Vodacom parow store and therefore nobody knew the status of my pending transfer. Yesterday I met with jodi again. She told me that my name was only on the July transfer list, which made absolutely no sense. How is it that I am on the transfer list for July when I app**** for this transfer in the beginning of June? Also, why has Vodacom been stringing me along, giving me time frames of 48 and 36 hours to resolve this case if it was only going to be done in July? How will I get the contract I want, if the closing date for it is in the beginning of July??? POOR customer service. POOR communication! NOBODY knows how to solve anything. Vodacom has no interest in their customers, only in their money. After many years of supporting Vodacom, I am really considering changing over to another network and also writing up to several newspapers about how unorganised and unprofessional is with regards to handling such situations. I have been pushed from pillar to post trying to resolve something that is supposedly a 'small, uncomplicated' matter. It's simply astonishing how a big cellular network company like Vodacom is taking almost a month to complete a transfer. I think Vodacom really needs to up their game or they are bound to lose A LOT of customers.
