Vodacom exploiting senior citizens
My dad, who is a retired senior citizen on pension, was misled into acquiring an additional contract whilst having challenges to keep his current account up to date with monthly premiums.
The agent who assisted him led him to believe, that if he agrees to the deal she is offering, he would only need to pay for her deal, which is R680 per month and all his other contracts with Vodacom will be cancelled and will be null and void. My dad now finds himself in the uncomfortable position where he needs to front a bill of more than R2.5k per month which is more than what he used to pay.
He was exploited and now he must bear the brunt for an agent who exploited his ignorance.

15 Feb 2021, 08:20The query is not resolved at all.
I was called by an agent who listed my dad's contracts with Vodacom over the phone and that's that. I was promised by her that she would sent me the contract list by email and then we'll have discussions on how to resolve the issue. It's been 4 days and still no contact made by agent after our call.
My dad, who is a pensioner, is still sitting with a enormous bill that he can't afford.
