Vodacom Enough is Enough! *****, *******!
November 2018 a person phoned me told me that she was changing my plan would get more air time and data for less and a free gift useless modem. I agreed after repeatedly informing her that I didn't want more contracts. It turned out to be 2 x additional contracts. There was even theft to my account for payment that I never agreed to. It took 2 months of my constant calling to sort this out. Someone eventually called and conceded that they listened to the call and the sale was made falsely. It was outright *****. Then I suddenly get a bill for R3000 in December. My bill has always been R1900. I call to find out why and find out my contract is not a top up contract but actually Vodacom can top my air time and data at ridiculously high rates when it runs out. This happened while my husband was in hospital and I didn't get sms telling me it had run out. If that isn't bad enough I call to change my plan to top up only. I see yesterday that on my one phone line I suddenly have 2 devices. I call to find out the consultant tells me that it definitely isn't right and he has esculated it. Then I am hit with another whammy I say that I look forward to cancelling Vodacom this year and am told because I changed to top up I have the contract for an added year. This morning 7h30 am (polite business practise is not to to call before 8am) , I get a call from someone who is dealing with Vodacom's stuff up or so she says. I think her name was Lindiwe but I was not focused because I was about to drive to work. She tells me the second device has been on my contract for a few months and should not be and I will have a substantial refund. I tell her to please change me back to the plan I was on so that I can end my contract in March. At this stage I had to drive to work so I begged her to call me in an hour, which she did not do. So I check now. Now both my bills are over R 2000 which means that at the end of this month Vodacom thinks I can somehow come up with R4000 and it says " end of contract" . If she had been listening I said I want my contracts to end when they reach their term not to have to pay an astronomical amount in one month.
