Vodacom enlisted me with the NCR saying I have a cell phone contract with them while I do not have any and had never had any contract with them

Vodacom enlisted me with the NCR saying I have a cell phone contract with them while I do not have any and had never had any contract with them. My understanding is that if one is taking cellphone on credit they will need to submit among other things an ID, bank statements and their finger prints will be taken to authenticate them. I have never done all this or taken any cellphone how come they allowed that contract to be on my name without all the above I suspect all this was done by the people working at Vodacom because and ordinary person can not open an account without the necessary documents. Please help me because this has made my life very hard as I cannot take any credit in the financial institutions as this has tarnished my credit history. Please help me I am very frustrated by Vodacom in this matter
