VODACOM endangers their consumers.
I moved from Telkom 8ta to Vodacom and I can truly say that the grass is not greener. Lack of transparency when taking cell phone contracts is astounding. I bought the Samsung Note 20 Ultra. The 20GB once-off is actually only valid for 30 days. Consultants explanation that once-off is supposed to imply valid for 30 days is ridiculous. Once-off simply means "not recurring". 20GB data is worth approximately between R1000-R2000. Its not a small thing to just throw that away. They also don't tell you that you have to set up and pay for call ID yourself. But I read a report that is far more disturbing than any of this. VODACOM ALLOWS PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS ACCESS TO LOCATION TRACKS THEIR CONSUMERS WHEREABOUTS WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT. This only came into the public knowledge because a ****** has happened via this process. As a woman in South Africa, I want to cancel my contract immediately. I was far far far better off with Telkom. Now I'm afraid of this phone. I want out.
