Vodacom employees committing *****
Vodacom employees are ****ming their customers into signing up for contracts that they don't want to take. We have been querying the constant difference in monthly billing from Vodacom, even after they did not uphold their contractual obligation with our fibre installation, as the package that we signed up for was never put into effect. At the beginning of May we contacted the call centre to enquire as to what was happening (again) with a different billing amount, and my wife was contacted by one of the call centre agents who informed us that we had signed up for a contract in October 2018 (the 20th to be exact) which we never had. We continuously repeated that we do not have a device nor sim card for this contract, and in fact wanted to cancel two data contracts which we do not need anymore. We were informed that we could cancel the contracts on the 19th June 2023, and that we would be able to get a device for free on the contract we never knew we had, and that it would be a good thing for us as we would at least have a device to use the contract with. We then agreed that, seeing as we were told we had a contract we never knew about, to take him up on the offer. The device was delivered with no sim card, even after we were promised we would get one, and when we called the contact centre we were told to go to a Vodacom store to do a sim swop, at which point we again reiterated that we do not have a sim card as we never knew about the contract. We then got a sim card. We were told that this so-called contract would be a top up, but when we queried the fact that there was no data nor prepaid on it we were informed by Yanga that we were ****med into taking the account, and that she would pass the matter on for disciplinary action to be taken against this individual. So, as we were instructed to do, we contacted the Cancellations department today to cancel the two data contracts we do not require anymore, only to find out that these two contracts were renewed WITHOUT OUR CONCENT by this same person. Therefore we are now in possession of three contracts we do not want, incurring costs we do not need to, only to enrich Vodacom. We are going to open a case of ***** against Vodacom to recoup our costs, and cancel our business with them at our first possible convenience. You can easily verify all the facts I have mentioned - contact me and we will share the phone numbers to trace the history as well as the voice recordings to verify the truth.
