Vodacom

On 20 January 2023 I prematurely canceled 3 of my accounts at Vodacom. I went to Vodacom in Menlyn, did the premature cancelation quotation on all 3 accounts. I signed all the documents at Menlyn Vodacom. They printed the 3 tax invoices, and I paid all 3 tax invoices. Total amount of R31207. 32. I also took all these documents and sent it to Vodacom ***. On that same day.

29 October 2024,almost 2 years later I recieved a SMS saying that Vodacom has handed me over to MBD due to account payments not being paid. Total amount of R22188. 74. I explained to MBD my situation, and the advised me to send all this proof plus a SAPS Affidavit and a Certified copy of my ID. Which I did. Only to get a response form Vodacom that the problem should be escalated to early cancelation department. Where they told me eveything on their side is sorted. No one at Vodacom can assist me.

I was also refered to TransUnion. They advised I should make contact with the Onbud.

I ended up sending an email to Vodacom CEO, not sure if he will see it or read it, all the above mentioned Vodacom departments, and the Onbud. Stating my case with proof of everything. Will see what happens going forward. But dont make use of Vodacom. Canceling of a contract will cause you endless issues, and probably you will be blacklisted. And there nothing you can do about this.
