Vodacom Drops the Ball
If I could give half a star, I would. I ordered a new device as an upgrade telephonically on July 20. I was requested to leave my ID copy and a letter giving her permission to collect it on my behalf. I gave them 3 numbers to call if they need to but they dialled none of them and 1 was captured incorrectly. My delivery address was correct because it’s not the first time I use Vodacom for delivery of devices. Then they decided to give SkyNet my phone. The genius delivered it to some suburb I’ve never heard of. Signed off by some person that I did not list on the call. I call Vodacom now and calmly get told that the phone was delivered on July 22. BUT it was not at my house. So the person who has received my phone now has access to my personal data because that invoice has my personal information. I NEED SkyNet and Vodacom to fix this and be required to compensate or called to task for sharing my info without my permission. I’m not threatening anyone but they put the POPI act in our faces but don’t follow it themselves. I’m Even considering opening a ******** case because you can’t ask me to even write a letter with helpers details but they managed to get the phone out there. I’m considering a different network provider now.
