Vodacom drop the ball

Its been a month since I initially took my phone in for repair, and I found out today that nothing has been done and the whole process will need to start again.

I initially took my phone in on Sat 20th Feb, I needed to go back and provide the insurance documents which are in my wife's name. I did that on Monday the 22nd Feb and got a txt on Tuesday 23rd Feb that the phone had been received at the Advanced repair Centre.

After almost 3 weeks I get a txt without having received a call that the device was being returned. At that point I expected the phone to be fixed or I needed to get a new phone. When I got to the Gateway branch I was told they had lost the insurance documents I handed in, and if I remembered the person I handed the documents to...are you kidding me!

I was then told to fill in the insurance docs again with my details, even through I said the insurance was not in my name, and when the docs were taken to the back office, what do you know - they needed my wives details and ID.

Shocking processes, how can you not scan the documents and have on my account instead of some random email account and I must remember who that is! Staff really need to be trained !
