Vodacom drags its feet after I haven't had my phone for over a month!
I've been without my phone for over a month now and I'm tired of being patient.
My phone on contract with vodacom died towards the end of April, it looks like the receiver gave up. I took it in to the Menlyn Mega Vodacom store on the 3rd of May as it wasn't even a year old. The phone went in for repairs under warranty and bounced back and forth between normal repairs, advanced repairs and quality assessment for 2 weeks. Finally after hearing nothing for a few days I called the repair center and they told me that the phone was beyond repair and that they would credit me with the value of the phone to get a new phone.
I went in to the Menlyn store to go get a new phone on 24 May and they informed me that the refund had not yet come through so I must come back the next day (25 May). I came back the next day to find out that the money had been credited to the wrong store. Another week went by before they could transfer the money to the Menlyn store. I got a call to say the money had been transferred and I went in. Now the phone I want isn't in stock, so I asked them if they could get it. Sure, no problem. This was on 30 May... I haven't heard a single word and its 7 June.
I've been more then patient throughout this whole scenario but its now getting ridiculous. What really gets to me is the fact that everyone treats me like they are doing me a favor. I haven't had my phone that I am still paying for for over a month and its always another story, and everyone keeps shifting the blame. No one can take responsibility and sincerely apologize.
