Vodacom doesnt live up to what they agree to over telephonic calls.

I have never been so angry with Vodacom. I had a lady from Vodacom phone me in connection with a I5 laptop they where giving away due to me being a customer for over 10 years. Now before you all go it can't be. My Husband also got the exact call before me, so i for legit thought it must be true. I did say to the lady on the opposite side numerous times that i cannot afford to pay for any more contracts and she said that i would not pay anything but in fact they are dropping my current amount i am paying to a lower monthly amount and get the laptop for free. the following month when my debit order came off i noticed there was an increase in the monthly amount after expecting a lower bill. normally i chase them away but in this case i made it very clear to the lady i cannot afford any more on my bill. i then proceeded to log a call on the 29-06-2023 to find out what was going on. after numerous calls to vodacom and feeling like i was getting no where, only today over a month ago do i get a call from them. they told me it was indeed found in my favour that i was led to believe i would not be paying for the laptop and that i now need to return my laptop to them and disciplinary action has been taken with this lady. so my husband and i have both lost our laptops due to this women. so please people watch out for doing anything over the phone.
