Vodacom Doesn't Know or Understand its Own Systems
I ported away from Vodacom for terrible customer service in January, and after 9 months of bad signal from MTN I am porting back. BUT...
I started porting to Vodacom 2 weeks ago today, and since then I've heard that the port should go through THAT night practically every day. And yet, I'm still not back on Vodacom. Problem after problem just keeps popping up and the latest is that Vodacom created a "dummy" number on my Vodacom profile when I left which is interfering with the port, in some way... No one really knows why or how, not even Vodacom. And now the call will take up to 48 hours to "potentially" resolve. After two weeks of failed resolution.
The staff at Vodashop Lynwood Grove have been marvellous in attempts to help me, but with support from Vodacom as it is, their hands are tied. If it wasn't for the fact that MTN has near zero signal at my office (in Sandton), I would not be porting back, but I like to be connected if that's what I'm paying for.
Can Vodacom get some understanding and sort this out please? I cannot think that Vodacom, who wants to lead in the digital space, can't figure out things as basic as this, but it seems to me that Vodacom offers a service they know nothing of themselves - which is beyond me...
