Vodacom Doesnt Care About Children Safety
This morning my daughter requested an uber to Dr, she is suppouse to share her tracking info for trip all the sudden she couldnt make or receive phone calls. I had to report on Uber because we thought something was wrong with her trip. We try to call her number it says number doesnt exit. We as a family are panicking all calling her number no luck.
Eventually I get to office and call Vodacom to ask or track her number, I spoke to call centre she confirms my daughters number has been deleted and recycled I asked why they said because she hasnt bought airtime her number has been inactive, mind you this number is used daily and recharged weekly as she is a student at University. I asked the lady can they connect number because we are trying to get ahold of her and she cant get back home. She tells me unfortunately is a rule by Vodacom to just delete number and recycle it they cant help us with anything.
I then ask why were we not informed her number was going to be deleted she says to me with big attitude her number has been deleted and we cant inform every Vodacom client Vodacom has too many clients and cant call each of them to inform them, Vodacom has a right to delete number without reason given.
As a parent I am speechless and scared becasue we are trying to find another way for my daughter to get home and get ahold of her.
I am not suprised by Vodacom treatement towards clients their service remains low with so many complaints and no solutions. I also know that this will not be taken seriously because of course it not their daughter safety threatened they dont care.
