VODACOM DOESN'T KNOW A THING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!

I am utterly DISGUSTED!!!!

This is my second time I am doing this exact review as Vodacom just doesn't care about their customers!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a loyal Vodacom client and has been one for as far as I can remember. I was due for an upgrade in September. After going to upgrade at Vodacom in Heidelberg Mall I already started having issues as their systems took forever to repsond and they couldn't get anything done. After waiting for about 30 minutes I told the lady to just leave the upgrade as I will do it at a later stage. I then noticed that one can do an upgrade online and next day delivery is promised and the upgrade fees are also not applicable. I tried doing the upgrade online but it is actually done over the phone as a sales person gave me a call back to do the upgrade. i have done the upgrade (Samsung S7, Samsung Powerbank and Samsung Tab Lite included in the package) and the lady told me that they don't have stock of the tablet. After waiting for a few days they gave me a call to confirm that the phone will be delivered. I have received the phone on the 20th of September. I took the phone and placed it on charge. After fully charged I transfered all my data from my Samsung S5 to my new S7. I then put the phone back in its box as I was at work. When I got home the phone didn't want to switch on or charge or respond at all. After trying to get hold of Vodacom aftersales/upgrades for 40 minutes the lady told me that the people that could help me already left (18:05) and will only be back the next day . I checked on google what the problem could be and with pushing the power button and volume down the same time for 10 seconds the phone will restart. I tried it and it worked. The blog where I read this also mentioned that it is an app that could cause the problem. I removed all the apps that got transferred from my old phone to my new phone. The phone worked fine for the next day. On the 22nd of September I actually used the phone for the first time for a day as I only done a sim swop late on the 21st of September. On the 22nd my phone has switched of about 12 times and me having to turn it on as previously mentioned. I phoned Vodacom to swop out and collect the faulty phone. They said it could take 2-7 working days from the 22nd September. I phoned on the 28th of September to find out when the phone will be collected. I was surprised when the reference number I was given couldn't be picked up on Vodacoms system. Yet AGAIN the swop out and collection was logged and they said it will be done the 29th or the 30th as this was now an urgent matter. The 29th came and nothing happened at around 11:00 the 30th I phoned Vodacom to confirm that the phone will be collected before 13:00 (I only work until 13:00 on Fridays) as discussed on the 28th. The person told me that it will be collected that day and I need to phone Ram and confirm the time. Needless to say Ram didn't know anything about the collection. I phoned Vodacom again and I WAS EVEN MORE SURPRISED as this time the person could also not find the reference number on the system. I was then transferred to another department where I got hold of someone that found the reference number on the system but said that the request for collection hasn't been given through to Ram and assured me that he is sending them an email with the request immediately and assured me that the phone WILL be collected TODAY. This morning I phoned Ram again to find out what time the phone will be collected, and AGAIN they don't have anything on their system as the reference number provided goes back to the old reference number that was used for the delivery and they don't have a request for collection. I phoned Vodacom again and the lady YET AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! couldn't find anything on the system regarding the collection. After a minute or two she magically found the email that the person has send on the 30th September for collection and swop out of the faulty phone. She also mentioned that Ram will only receive the request for collection today and that it should take 3 working days for them to bring me a new phone and collect the old phone. I am furious with this level of service and really expected way more and better service.

Needless to say I am still waiting for them to collect and if it hasn't been collected and replaced by the end of the week I will have to seriously take more steps.

Regards

Jacques (A really angry Vodacom customer)
