Vodacom does Sim swaps without your permission

I am abroad and received an sms telling me that a request had been received to port my vodacom number to MTN..I reported this to the ***** division .Two days later i received another sms telling me that a si swap had been requested on my number and that I must contact Vodacom if I did not request the sim swap..When I contacted vodacom they informed me that the sim swap had already been done. Now I ask you... how does Vodacom do a sim swap without checking with the rightful owner of the phone and who is going to pay for the international phone call that I incurred trying to get to the bottom of this (30 minute phone call to Vodacom from abroad) Poor show Vodacom..exposing your clients to all sorts of ***** with banking and other cell supported services, Its a ****** disgrace
