Vodacom does not want to take responsibility

I signed up for a contract with Vodacom and agreed amount is R168.00 monthly. They debited my account with R294.00 in October with no explanation. In November they debited my account with R714.00 which I reversed because I thought it was a ********** activity. Which then led to Vodacom not receiving their debit and subsequently removing me from the Debit Order system. In December Vodacom did not deduct any funds from my account. I did not receive any call or sms’s informing me on the change in the contract.

When I inquired why the change in debit order amounts – the explanation was that an incorrect line was added to my contract and hence the incorrect debits. They insist that I must rectify my account before they can open my line.

I would like to Vodacom to take responsibility for the inconvenience caused to me for debiting wrongly which sees me cancelled from debit order system and missing 2 months payments. If Vodacom did not deduct the wrong amount I would still be paying the account regularly and with no interruptions. As at the agreed times the funds were in the account and ready to be deducted.

I want the arrears reversed and me to be placed in a situation I would have been had they not mixed up my contract.
