Vodacom does not suffice to be in SA
I've been with Vodacom since around 2006 and haven't had any issues until recently. However, it seems the market has shifted. In the past, Vodacom was strong compared to MTN, which had the most towers, and even Telkom. Now, Vodacom doesn't stand a chance. They're too focused on making deals to earn more money, but their service and mobile connectivity have become terrible. I work with one of the largest companies investing in Vodacom, and yet, we're still forced to log calls daily to improve the service. The Vodacom network simply doesn't meet the needs of the modern era. You'd think with all the money businesses and users are investing to get the best deals, we'd see better results. Instead, we're stuck in contracts, paying the price for subpar service. It's ridiculous!
Cant watch a movie. Cant stream Netflix. Cant watch a Facebook video. Cant google anything as it keeps on buffering or it takes forever to load.
0.33 mb download speed......
What am I paying for?
30Mb download speed for R600 every month for the past 6 months if not more and everyday Im sitting with the same issues over and over and over.
I get a Call telling me that I have logged a complaint and then nothing.....
Vodacom Terms and Conditions does not state, in any section, that you will get 0.33 mb for R600
30Mbps price plan
Speeds up to 30Mbps for usage from 0-700GB
Speeds up to 30Mb. It should've been up to 0.33mb.
This contract will be cancelled, and I will request for full refund since the start of the contract.
I will not be held responsible for any fees as per your Terms and Conditions.

All of the above have been tried and testing numerous of time with customer service online.
I have been in IT for probably 10 years and I have used my own knowledge and experience to try and resolve this.
The problem is not with the router and or the sim card.
I have used this device an many other areas. I have replaced routers. I have used different sim cards.
I have used different isp sim cards in this same router getting full download speeds.
We are to stop adding focus on the user and the users router and sim card and get someone out to the site to come test.
This network of Vodacom is the problem. The throttling of download speeds and hopping of other isp/towers where the problem is.
If I dont have a problem with MTN or Telkom Sim cards in both my brand new handset and router then the issue is with Vodacom.
This Vodacom Router is quite simple to be configured and even after a reset its so easy to reset, the elder can even do it.
So please, lets stop with the router and sim card configuration and focus on the actual problem.
I can clearly see from doing the speeds test, that the line is being throttled.
Go check Down Detector... Its not just me having issues.
While we as the users pay absurd amount of money for something that doesn't work...
I have been paying a monthly fee for the past how long??
For a White Router as a statue in my house.
I get home at night, looking at a stupid router with blue lights that doesn't work....
I will be stopping all debit orders. I will cancel this contract. And I will not be responsible for any outstanding amounts as per the Terms and Conditions.

It is a confirmed case. So please have your lawyer take me to court.
Vodacom cannot withstand the amount of users on their network. They just cannot deal with this.
The problem have been identified as not a User issue after how long but in fact realized that the problem is on their network.
This is not a joke. Nor would I expect this being a joke for a R600 user per month to get 0.31 mb download speed for a 30mb contract. This is a breach of contract by Law and not just Vodacom.

We have engineers and tower specialists working on the situation, and we are also dealing with the issue of ****** tower batteries.
We live in a world where we should be able to provide adequate network coverage for South Africa. However, we find ourselves dealing with management handling this on behalf of the business. In my daily job, I don’t expect management to question why something is done, but in this situation, we’re facing a lack of power to get things accomplished. It’s becoming a case where either we’re asked to do something, or the PMO is falling short
