Vodacom does not know the meaning of customer service
On the 8th of May I added 2 x Samsung Watch 4's to my contracts for my kids so that I could het hold of them at school. On the 13th of May, I activated the esim on both watches. All of a sudden the batteries were flat when they got home. I initially thought they were playing with the watches that is why the batteries did not last. Only on the Thursday, we realised it was since the esim was activated that the batteries did not last. Due to my working hours I could only take the watches back on the 21st of May and was told it was going to be sent it to the repair centre and would take 7 - 14 days.
I kept on following up with the Fourways Repair Centre and was told on the 28th, that job card ***1 was sent back to Clearwater on the 26th. It is today the 4th of July and Clearwater says they have still not received it.
The repair centre also told me that job card ***6 was sent to the advanced repair centre and would take 16 - 21 days. This I do not understand as both watches had the exact same issue.
The person on the phone at the repair centre was very rude, same for I assume her Afrikaans manager who I could hear in the background. Unfortunately I did not take her name.
I phoned Ester, the Clearwater manager on Thursday, the 2nd of June and enquired as to how the one watch was sent away as they both had the same issue. She also said she could not understand that and would get back to me. Today is Saturday, the 4th of June and I'm still waiting for her to phone me. I phoned Clearwater and was told she was off and can only phone me on Monday. I asked if they could at least check for me if the watch had arrived back and the person on the phone said he can't as he is only attending to phone calls. I had to then fight for him to get someone to assist, who then again confirmed the watch was not there.
This is honestly shocking service from Vodacom for two items which were not even 2 weeks old when they had to be returned. I have to pay for the watches and the esim subscriptions, yet I don't have the items and no one is bothered to assist to have this sorted out. Yes, I should have taken it back within 7 days as then I surely would have returned them for Huawei watches, but unfortunately my working hours does not allow for that.
I currently have 13 contracts with Vodacom and will seriously reconsider if I want to upgrade when the time comes on each of my contracts.
