VODACOM DOES NOT KNOW THE CONSUMER ACT - COOLING OFF PERIOD

Today Thursday 12th April 2018, I went to Vodacom George in Courtney street, to purchase a Samsung S8 cellular phone cover, there a saleslady help me to choose the right cover as I told her my phone need a decent cover, and I also told her that I have a voucher from Vodacom. Then I asked the saleslady which cover would she suggest is the best, she then said the Samsung Cover is the best. I had an accident on Wednesday with my phone as it fell out of my hands and it had some damage to the left-hand top, then I looked at the cover and said yes would like to purchase it, she then said I should sit at Point 1 she is just going to call the Manager Allicia du Toit, she came to the till point and was very rude did not even greet me, just told the sales lady what she should do with the slip, and then they only provided me with the credit note and not the invoice(I don't think she actually needs to be in a managerial position if she can not even greet the customers. (We as customers pay her salary every month) tell me if I am wrong. Then I went to another shop to find out if I could put a screen protector on and then they advised me it will not help as it is chipped on the side I should rather have a cover that opens and closes, it more protected. Then I decided that I will go back to Vodacom to return the cover as it will be no use to me, then another sales lady said to me that they can not refund me the money as they only give vouchers for the amount, I then said to her as long as I can retrieve the money and the voucher value back, then she said to me she just want to ask her Manager what she should do, then she came back and said the Manager said "NO" I can not return the cover. Now tell me something is she trained that she should know the Consumer Act - Cooling off Period - I doubt that, and I will contact the NCR and the Ombudsman. This is unacceptable, I think the manager is not trained to be in a managerial position. If I do not hear from Vodacom by close of business by Friday 13th April 2018 I will make a complaint to the NCR as well as the Ombudsman.
