Vodacom does not know its own application
I am so frustrated that Vodacom does not know its own mobile application, VodaPay. On 24 May 2024, I transferred money into the application with a view to refilling petrol, using the app. The garage rejected the vouchers as they do not accept them anymore. On 25 May 2024, Vodacom requested my bank statement and committed to refund me within 7 days. They did nothing until I made a follow-up on the 8th day, after which they further requested me to highlight the transaction on the bank statement. I sent it to them and indicated that I did the purchase on the app, after transferring the money therein. However, they want me to provide another proof that I indeed paid for the petrol vouchers on the app. This is not acceptable as it took them a split of a second to take my money, yet it is now the end of the 3rd week since I have been waiting for the refund. They want information that I don't have anymore. I have since deleted the app from my phone. It cannot be that I cannot get my money back due to the fact that they are failing to access proof of the transaction on their own system.
For your kind intervention and assistance as I don't have petrol money right now. The amount I used on the app is quite high.
Thank you

Please, intervene again. Vodacom has not yet resolved this query, after one month and one week, against their own deadline of 5 working days. On 29 June 2024, I made a follow-up at the Loch Logan Waterfront, Bloemfontein, branch, where I got nonsensical response that it is too early to expect a refund (Ref. ***).
