Vodacom does not honour its adverts!
On Wednesday 6 April, I went into Vodacom Somerset West to sign up for their special advertised on Page 9 of their current brochure (and on banners in their stores), which was to \Get 2GM for the price of 1GB\" . All the adverts for this special showed a wi-fi router which was LTE enabled. Initially I dealt with Natasha from Eugene Mostert's branch, who said she had no LTE R209-Z wifi routers in stock. I was in the store for over an hour while she tried to sort out this issue and locate a LTE router. She called Mr Blom from the Strand Branch and he confirmed he had a LTE version of this router, and so she asked me to drive to the Strand Branch to finish signing up and to get the wifi router. I then went to Strand (about 15 kms) and when I arrived the rude Mr Blom denied that he had said his device was LTE and he had the same version at Natasha. In an angry rage I drove back to Natasha's branch (two hours into this headache) and was told she could not help me as she did not have LTE devices and could not get me one. So in effect I had wasted almost three hours of my day and came away with no contract and no wifi, nor device. Vodacom's adverts said the device was LTE enabled! "
