Vodacom does not honor their commitments

Hi. I called Vodacom again today in the hope maybe i will get someone who will understand my situation and assist me. Call took 1 hour and 8 minutes. But it may have been a waste of time. I spoke to the after sales manager on duty who said he cant assist and wants me to go to sales department. I had to put on a very strong tone for him to listen to me and said sales department keeps referring to to after sales because i already took out the contract. He said all he an do is escalate the matter. I made them see when the first escalation was done. It was on 3 December 2022. They spoke to the consultant who made the escalation for feedback and she said no one came back to her. Sine then I've had about 5 people make an escalation and what and i asked them today what use is an escalation if nothing was yet done from the first escalation on 3 December. Now they want to offer me a new contract with same benefits but on a 36 month contract. I refused saying why must i take that because the contract i have is a 24 month contract. They say its not on the system. Surely there must be a manager at Vodacom who can clearly see that my contract was taken out and approved during the promo and he can put the deal sheet on again just so that they can fix the issue with my contract.

Hi. Yes I'm well aware that this was a black Friday special and i took out the contract during the special. I'm not a new customer asking for a promotional deal after the deal has expired. I ALREADY TOOK out the contract and it was APPROVED. I supp**** the Vodacom number I've been using for 25 years for the contract. The number was a Vodacom contract number which i put on prepaid for 4 months and told Vodacom i will put it back on contract in December when my other Vodacom contract expired. You guys gave me a new number instead and when i raised the matter up I was told by Vodacom that this is how they will resolve my issue by collecting the device from me and then issuing the contract on the correct number that i supp****. I'm not the one who made that decision. I went along what i was told by the Vodacom customer care department. AND I REPEAT NO WHERE IN MY COMMUNICATION WITH VODACOM DID I EVER SAY CANCEL THE CONTRACT. The contract was still active when i reported the matter to customer care. How can i be blamed for Vodacom's internal processes of resolving issues like this. I waited for the device to be returned to me after they collected it from me and after 2 weeks of no communication i called to enquire why i have not received my device again i was told that 14 days had already passed i cant be assisted anymore. Whose fault is it that 14 days had passed and no one at Vodacom did what they told me they will do. I reported the matter to Vodaom on day two after the contract was activated. Remember at your own discretion you said you will redo the contract when they have the device back. At one stage i was told why not keep both the numbers since the device is a dual sim phone. I even was so frustrated that i said just send the device back in that case. By this stage the contract was cancelled without m y permission. I just want the deal that i took out that was approved. Vodacom needs to deal with their internal processes and just give its clients good service. I did everything correct on my side .

I am ashamed to be a customer of Vodacom. I have made countless calls to vodacom and have recordings from different managers saying what has happened is not my fault and I should be given the contract that was approved. But as of today I'm done. After being a contract customer of vodacom for 25 years I've decided to port my number to Telkom. They have the same device for R50 more per month but I do get more data and calls so I'm done with Vodacom. They are useless in honoring their promises to me.

Goodbye Vodacom. Its time to port my number to to your competitor who by the for the same amount is giving its customers much more date monthly and way more calls. So I've just realized why should i fight to stay on as a customer with Vodacom. My main issue was that i did not want to lose my Vodacom number but with the porting option i can gladly move to another provider now. You better watch out Vodacom. With this bad service you will see a lot more of your customers porting their number to another provider.
