Vodacom does not have service delivery!EC-1JE8-3OSPAA

So 4 months back, I logged a call with Vodacom as their normal helpdesk was absolutely useless as always.

I heard from a friend that I should contact CEO office, their service is much better and they usually sort out the problems within a couple of days. So I did, and received a response back within a day. I then gave the Vodacom, CEO office representative all the details of the 3 problems I had via email. A couple of days later no response. I then mailed back requesting info on my calls logged. To which he rep****, he is very sorry for the delayed response (since then received the same apology about 20 times), and explained he could only help me with one problem at the moment being, the automatic Vodacom Live subscription I was paying for without accepting such service. He mentioned that Vodacom would refund me for this, which they did, 1.5 months later.

My second problem was, I had an Iphone 7 which was working 100% which after the 11.3 IOS update, started acting funny, callers coud not hear me, speaker would not work with calls, but music plays through the speaker and so on. Vodacom simply said, the phone is out of warranty (warranty is only for hardware Vodacom, you cant hold me accountable for Apple's updates braking my phone). I then went on to test all the hardware, I tried factory resets, logged calls with Apple in the US and finally they had an answer for me. It was not a major problem because only a couple of hundred Iphones had this problem and they decided to simply replace the devices that had this problem as the bug fix would be more expensive. They said, that I should send the phone to Vodacom (carrier) and that Vodacom needs to phone them, and then they would send Vodacom a new phone. Seemed simple, but, I did do all the work that Vodacom should have done as they are a service provider?? The next couple of weeks proved that Vodacom does not give a **** for their customers and/or simply does not know what service is. To them service is looking for excuses and passing the buck.

Long story short, I had to repeatedly explain to Vodacom what they need to do, to get a new device and then the problem is sorted. A couple weeks later, they finally replaced my phone, WITH A BROKEN SECOND HAND PHONE!?!?!?!?! This device, clearly second hand, lost signal 2-3 times a minute. I then had to escalate this matter, AGAIN, mailed the CEO office representative with screenshots of the phone losing signal while standing still. And again, no response from this representative. I had to call in as mail obviously was not working. Called in the first day, tried phoning him 4-5 times in between my phone losing signal but he was not at the office, or on lunch, or busy, or his office buddies making excuses for him, or or or???? Left him messages, mailed him nothing works. Tried to escalate to his manager, she told me to calm down and that she will get the representative to call me back. GUESS WAT, THAT ALSO DID NOT HAPPEN, SO EVEN ON A MANAGERIAL LEVEL THEY ARE USELESS. I had to phone in again and again until I reached him, and his plan was to let me upgrade, without paying the premature upgrade fees. It seemed like a plan as I would have a working phone at last! So he put the process in motion, I wont go too deep into this F-UP, but he managed to F*#K this up as well, as he upgraded my wrong number, not the phone number which was in query in whole time! Two weeks later, I had to call again, to ask when I will receive the device, but finally I received my device and I have a working phone! F$@king great! BUT....

The third problem logged in the first mail, was, Vodacom is charging me insurance for a device/contract I had from 2 ********** . His first response was, I need to call the insurance company as it has nothing to do with them???? *** VODACOM??? The contract is with you, if you contract in a third party, IT IS STILL YOUR SERVICE!!!! Why, because I clearly did not tick any boxes for the next contract/upgrade because the insurance is bull**** anyways and by then I had the phone on my short term insurance. By the way, I have called in years back to cancel the insurance and asked for a refund then! So, calculation:

8 years x 12 months = 96 Monthly installment = R231 Total ****** by Vodacom = R 22 176

Now the fun start, surprise surprise, Vodacom cannot give me the contracts, which they must keep, to prove that I did not tick the boxes. How convenient!! After weeks, lots of mail and even more calls, Vodacom said that they will refund me for the last two years, because they do have on record that I had called in to cancel the service. received the money for the first two years insurance repayment 3 weeks later. Then I started the fight for the other 6 years. Vodacom Insurance department told basically told me, F$@K you sir, we do not have to repay you for more than 3 years, have the mail to prove it. As I'm no lawyer, I looked it up and surely, it is the law. Now, I do know that there is nothing more I can do about that, but, I HAVE, SINCE THAT COMMUNICATION, STILL NOT RECEIVED THE 3rd YEARS REFUND???

Question, if Vodacom has done this to me, surely there are about 100 000 other contracts that this happened to as well. And even if the law says that they only have to refund 3 years, still they are supposed to deliver a service, and yet they are profiting from customer because of their own mistakes??? How can they call themselve's a service provider?

Ok, so 1 of my calls logged initially is still not resolved/refunded. How long should I wait to completely loose my ****?

I then, on 18 September, logged another call, for other personal contracts I cancelled two months ago, which I'm still paying for. I also requested the last 4 months calls they recorded as proof of my cancellation. Today is 27 September, and still I have no response.

Not finished yet, I then two of my business phones 2 weeks back, seemed to go smoothly until it came to delivery of the devices. RAM apparently showed up one morning, to deliver, but could not get "access to the estate" as they did not have access cards. BS! but ok, this is RAM, so the week after RAM came and delivered the second device, without the first device. I phoned Vodacom, and asked to speak to the lady that was helping me, she was busy so I left a message, 3 days later I still have not received a call. I phoned in again, and again she was busy, so I asked to be put through to her supervisor, and he explained to me that he cant help me, the only one in Vodacom that can help me is the lady that assisted me with the upgrade. AGAIN BS VODACOM. Any reader by now would see that Vodacom has verry little service to offer. But he, assured me that the lady will call me back, this was on 26 Sepember. Still, not a peep from Vodacom or the lady that assisted me.

Now, Vodacom, what can you do to rectify your 4 months of no service to me, I'm sure there are thousands of other customers that feels the same way?

So basically 7 days later since my review, I've received two calls from Vodacom both promising to move heaven and earth to get my problems resolved, but they clearly did not read the review as they claim to not know of the latest calls and problems. So, nothing has changed, nothing has been done about anything. So my suspicion is confirmed, Vodacom's internal processes and procedures is either f&$cked or they just dont give a **** about their customers. Maybe both. Vodacom, you are officially worse than Telkom! Pathetic
