Vodacom does not care to resolve problems of their making.

I recently wrote a review regarding problems I had with an upgrade on my cell phone during 2023 which I did not authorise. A few days later I received a call, explained my problem again in detail and I was assured that the downward migration I requested would be processed without the migration fee. I then rated Vodacom on Hello Peter very highly because I thought all was settled. During this week I received an invoice for the migration fee and made a call to Vodacom customer care and was on the phone with a lady for an entire hour. She told me that she could not see the changes I requested and went through every thing again so the we could arrive at a level of service which fits my needs. Less data and airtime. Then she told me that she adjusted all of it but that every adjustment carries a fee which she cannot waive. This morning I received invoices for migration fees again in excess of R 1k. It seems to me as if everything I did to effect a reduction in data and airtime I don't need, which started in the last week of October 2024 was a waste of time. I was also told that changes can only be introduced on the first day of a month. So, my expectation of having the changes done effective 1st November did not materialse. So I have no choice but to regard Vodacom as unreliable and express my disgust at the way this issue has been dealt with. It seems as if no one has any authority to correct mistakes made and that the customer must just pay up and accept that they don't care.
