VODACOM DOES NOT CARE

Last year there were 2 separate *****ulent incidents on my account. So Vodacom flagged it so that any add-ons would have to be done in store. Last week, on the 20th January, there was another attempt at adding a new number to my account, so Vodacom blocked both my numbers (mine and my daughter's). No one told me though - no message, no email. Nothing. I couldn't make or receive calls. I couldn't even call their help line. All service blocked. I used my husband's phone to call them, where I learned it had been blocked and was told that the consultant couldn't do anything about it and I should contact accounts. Tried that and got Toby the AI Bot - who didn't have much intelligence because he kept telling me my account was in arrears and then cut me off. Eventually spoke to a human who also couldn't help. Went into my local Knysna store who said they would log the complaint for me and get back to me because they too couldn't do anything there but assured me that in would be restored in maximum 3 days. FIVE days later, still no progress. Went back to the store and they looked the numbers up. This time they couldn't find them at all. The reason? Vodacom had decided to cancel both of them completely. (Pretty sure they'll still charge me though) I was then told to phone Forensics and given a number. And would you believe it - they didn't answer at all. Went back to the store and they said that I should now email the ***** department, which I did. I received a generic message back giving me a case number and telling me that they should have it sorted within 30 days. This has now been going on for 10 days. I have spoken to numerous people who promise to get back to me and don't, or wash their hands of it and blame it on another department. I have had to get another phone and number, and buy airtime and data so I can at least have some way of connecting with family and clients. My daughter cannot do any banking because she has to authorise all payments from an sms, which obviously she can't get because her number doesn't exist. I have never, ever had such shockingly awful service from any company. Ever. I would strongly advise anyone who is considering a contract with Vodacom to look elsewhere. They just don't care.
