Vodacom does not care about people. Only money.

We recently checked our data balance and saw that there was a bill for R7800 We immediately called Vodacom to enquire about it. I was told that it must be a mistake, as they do not see anything on their system. I asked for a reference number, there was none.. I asked for a statement proving the account is clear. He said he couldn't but not to worry. He could only send the latest invoice. If we had issues, all calls are recorded. That's the proof.

A few days later we received a bill for R7800 for data usage. I was amazed, because after having this contract for 7 years, we had not had a bill for a single byte, or a single cent. Then, OUT OF THE BLUE, we get a bill for R7800 ... just for ONE DAY??!! We contacted Vodacom again. A lady said she would sort it out. She called me daily for the first 3 days to say that they were working on it. Then all went silent. I have not heard a word for more than a week. In the meantime Vodacom has debited the money. So they are happy. I have received NO FEEDBACK.NO outcome. NO contact whatsoever about the case. This is terrible service! And you expect us to keep renewing all of our numbers with Vodacom.... Really??

Dear Darren,

Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organisation.
As per the feedback from our Retentions Team. A credit of R6,749.54 EX VAT will be passed on the account. The credit should reflect on the Vodacom account within 7 working days.

Regards,

Thank you for your positive response. I would like to request that you rather credit the bank account and NOT the telephone account. The money was taken from my wife's account and she has been inconvenienced as a result. Putting it back would be the only acceptable outcome. Thanks.
