Vodacom does not care about it’s clients!
Having been a client with Vodacom for 14 years I am absolutely disappointed at the atrocious level of service I have received. I purchased an iPhone 7 from Vodacom in August 2017 and proceeded to take out insurance with them for the device. After paying 30 installments without any claims, I had an unfortunate incident in which my phone was accidentally damaged. I then took my phone to the Vodacom store located at the Greenstone mall on Thursday the 6th of February. I was told that the phone would be sent to the repair centre in Fourways for assessment. I had informed the Vodacom consultant that I wished to submit an insurance claim and was duly given forms to complete and given the Job number ***2 to follow up the process. Everything seemed fine as I received correspondence for a few days regarding the progress,up until Wednesday the 12th when I was sent an estimate amount via sms and informed to contact the repair centre which I did but received no assistance. I then went to the store that I had taken my phone to and spent an hour and a half on Thursday the 13th calling back and forth between Vodacom insurance and the repair center with a consultant named Zakes without any help at all. So it’s almost 2 weeks since Vodacom took my phone and my claim has not been processed! How is it that Vodacom can find pleasure in taking my money for insurance for 2 and a half years and then give me such grief at claim stage?! This is totally unacceptable, and I am at my wits end. I will thus be taking this up with the ombudsman seeing that no conclusion is possible with the company itself. I will also proceed to cancel my products with Vodacom because clearly this company has no regard for its clients whatsoever.
