VODACOM DOES NOT CARE

Daughter had her Blackberry ****** on Saturday night 25th April. Proceeded to the Menlyn Vodacare shop the following morning at 09h30 to have the phone blacklisted. Completed the necessary documentation, with ID and did a sim swap. I was told that the new sim would take up to 24hours to activate. As I did not receive an sms giving the ITC by the following day I phoned 111 only to be told that the phone had not been blacklisted and the sim swap had not been activated. The call centre assistant then blacklisted the phone, with ITC no. received and told me to proceed back to the Menlyn Vodacare centre to have the sim card activated. I asked for the manager and was told to go to a desk where I spoke to an acting manager as the manager was on leave. I explained the situation. NOT EVEN A HINT OF AN APPOLOGY. I have promised my daughter an iphone contract if she does well in her July exams. I will be looking to another service provider for this. My personal contract was due for upgrade some months ago. After being a Vodacom contract client for over 20 years I am considering porting to another service provider when I decide what phone I wish to get. Vodacom will loose 5 customers soon.
