Vodacom does ******* contract binding. DO NOT enter into a contract with Vodacom. You will struggle to get out of it.

Vodacom does ******* contract binding.

I have a contract for monthly airtime from Vodacom. Firstly. My contract expired after the 24 months. Then they continued the contract without letting me know. Ok. Annoying. Fine. So I go to a Vodacom branch to change from contract to prepaid. Get turned away at the door. Must phone to change from contract to prepaid. -Ok. I phone them and they tell me to phone back at the end of the month. -Super annoying. ok I phone them at the end of the month and then tell me I need to put 30 days notice first. -This is starting to really annoy me. END of waiting 6 weeks I get my monthly airtime! I phone back and enquire. THEY DID NOT EDHERE TO MY 30 DAY NOTICE REQUEST. I was told to wait ANOTHER 30 days and was promised it was done. End of the additional 30 days... I Get my airtime AGAIN. I phone AGAIN to ask why? THEY DID NOT STOP IT FOR THE SECOND TIME. I even sent emails to get my screen insurance stopped and put in my 30 day notice... ALL IGNORED.

Then I phone AGAIN to find out what the hell is going on. I was promised they would do an immediate termination and wouldn't have to pay. I would receive an SMS in 24 hours. NO SMS for 3 days. I phone. They said they will find out why it didn't stop. They would phone me back. Still waiting.

I'm now livid. It's been a 3/4 month struggle to simply put a R178 contract onto prepaid. Vodacom is *******ly binding me into a contract that has expired AND I have given multiple notices and requests to cease my contract with triple the stipulated minimum notice period of cancellation, which are all being completely ignored.

I want to know who I was in contact with, I want a reason why each of them failed to simply put my number onto prepaid. I want all my voice recordings of my requests and I have the emails saved. I will enquire legal help as my next step and researching which regulatory departments or ombudsman handle complaints.
