Vodacom do not want to PORT my number over to MTN

I have a prepaid account with Vodacom. I am trying to PORT my cellnumber from Vodacom to MTN. Vodacom keeps declining the PORTME from MTN. Vodacom is trying to keep me with them by lying everytime saying my prepaid is cancelled. Vodacom is the worst provider ever. I want to go over to MTN but keep my number.
