VODACOM - DO NOT REFUND CUSTOMERS
To Hello Peter,
On the 16th November I bought a router, a SIM card and 500MG data at Vodacom Rosebank Mall. The next day I was running out of data with only reading emails and WhatsApp messages, without upload any photo or video. Then I have decided to return the router with the SIM card back, as I had to buy data everyday which is completely non sense. At the store I was told that refunds were not allowed as per stated in the contract. I have asked for a copy of the contract, that I was said I could not have it. After I insisted, it was given to me. The contract does not state that refunds are not allowed. I was told as the box was opened they could not sell it again. I could only exchange for another product, which I did not want it. If I accepted the exchange, Vodacom would have my router anyway, so what is the point not to refund customers? It is a foolish statement to keep people’s money. This is ILEGAL! I went to the Rosebank police station, but this is not considered a ******** offense. HOW???? This an offense to the customer rights that are completely not respected by Vodacom, that allows the stores do whenever they want.
I left the device at the store, in good condition and nobody have refused to take it or give it back to me as I walked out the store. So, the device was returned to the store in good condition without a refund. I claim my money back, R799 99 for the router and the SIM card as its my right as a customer.
Regards, Giuliana Costa.
